During the first burn, allow the wax to melt completely to the edges of the vessel (approximately 3–4 hours). Wax has a memory, and a full melt pool helps prevent tunneling, maximize fragrance throw, and ensure an even burn.
Trim the wick to 1/4 inch (5 mm) before each burn.
Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time.
Keep the candle away from drafts, fans, open windows, and air vents.
Never leave a burning candle unattended or while sleeping. Extinguish the flame before leaving the room.
Keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials.
Place on a heat-resistant surface.
Discontinue use when 1/2 inch (1 cm) of wax remains.

Because every Notacan candle is handcrafted in small batches, all sales are final.

We do not accept returns or exchanges due to:

change of mind;
personal scent preference;
ordering the wrong product.

Order Cancellations

If you change your mind immediately after placing an order, you may request cancellation within 24 hours, provided your order has not yet entered production or shipping.

Once production has started or a shipping label has been created, the order can no longer be cancelled.

To request a cancellation, email contact@notacan.art as soon as possible.

Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your package upon delivery.

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or you receive the wrong item, contact us within 48 hours of delivery at contact@notacan.art.

Please include:

your order number;
clear photos of the damaged product;
photos of the shipping box;
photos of all packaging materials.

After review, we will provide a replacement or issue a refund if appropriate.

Lost or Stolen Packages

Once a package has been marked Delivered by the shipping carrier, responsibility transfers to the recipient.

If your tracking indicates "Delivered" but you cannot locate your package, please:

wait 24 hours (carriers occasionally scan packages before final delivery);
check with neighbors or your building management;
contact your local USPS, UPS, or FedEx office;
file a claim with the shipping carrier if necessary.

Incorrect Shipping Address

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address.

If an order is returned because of an incorrect or incomplete address, the customer will be responsible for the cost of re-shipping.
